I came to London almost 4 years ago with a plan in my head, becoming an interior designer! Before I started to working in the industry I started my design blog which seemed like a great idea not only to share and inspire others but also finding about trends and learning about interiors myself.
It was the first step I’ve done to start up in interior design and I’ve never looked back!
Fast forward to now, I am working as a sales consultant for a luxury furniture brand, studying at KLC to become an interior designer and blogging about the design along the way!
I love glamorous, feminine interiors with an edge and eclectic mix of style and I am slightly obsessed with brass and pink!
What are your top 3 favorite pieces from our collection?
It’s hard to chose but I picked my 3 favorites !!
Firstly, for its beautiful shape and feminine design I love the Battersea chaise! It’ versatile and fun and looks fabulous in pink! https://renellepettitt.com/product/battersea-chaise/
Second will be this amazing flamingo piece, how fun?? I love when people use fun, bold accessories in their homes to show their personality and this is definitely something to go with!
Last but not least, this cute ottoman with a brass base is something I’ve been lusting over, it would look great under a console in a chic entryway in dark velvet or animal print!!
What do you believe is the pinnacle statement of a luxury London home?
I think beautifully crafted furniture are a base but I think what really brings a luxury feel to the space are soft, opulent curtains. They finish the windows beautifully and add a truly elegant touch to the room. I can’t imagine a London home without beautifully dress windows!
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’d have to say NYC for it’s endless energy and possibilities but only if I can have my second home in the Hamptons 🙂
When accessorizing, less or more?
Definitely more!! Scatter cushions, coffee table books, art and flowers, bring it all!!
Who is your favorite Interior designer?
I admire a lot of designers but I am particularly drawn to Ryan Korban’s work. He creates sexy, sophisticated spaces that are both luxurious and livable. I love the way he mixes different finishes and is not afraid of using bold features, animal prints and fur. You can follow Ryan on instagram for loads of inspiration here :https://www.instagram.com/ryankorban/?hl=en
You recently were shortlisted for the Amar blog awards, can you tell us a bit about it?
Amara blog awards is annual event celebrating interior design bloggers all over UK and I couldn’t believe when I heard I was shortlisted and invited for the awards night!
This year’s event was held in The Ham Yard Hotel and hosted by interior stylist and journalist Sophie Robinson and was a truly amazing night! I met so many other bloggers and had a great time surrounded by inspiring and talented people!
What did you wear to the awards?
I went for a black evening top and pencil trousers with a pair of heels, you can’t go wrong with that!
Are you working on any design projects at the moment?
I am working on my bedroom make-over at the moment which takes a while but it is soon to be finished! I can’t wait to share it on the blog because it started as a pretty dull space but is soon to be much much better! I recently shared progress on my blog so stay tuned! I am still studying interior design so hopefully there will be more projects to come!
